Last week, a friend and I checked out the 2009 Seoul Design Olympiad. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was pretty cool and fun. Plus, FREE! :) You can’t beat free events.
Here are some funky things we saw:
Giant tiger sculpture made from recycled plastic bottles.

On this sculpture/installation were…

…these teensy 1cm figurines. For once, I was the taller one.

An installation made out of recycled blue plastic cups.

Rubber band bag. (Aka, ramen bag)

A section displaying different table art.

And a whole football field of tiger mascot sculptures.
There was a lot to see at this event, and these photos only show a fraction of all the cool inventions and designs we saw. The event closes this week Thursday, so if you have time, check it out!!

That tiger made of bottles is awesome! As is the rubberband purse.
