101 Things in 2013

Happy New Year, my dear aliens~~~ It’s day 2, and so far 2013 has been lovely. I’m taking a week off from the online bake shop and it’s been sooo nice to catch up on some of the little things I’ve been meaning to do, and also to meet up with friends. My head is in vacation-mode, even though I didn’t go anywhere. :)

Anyway, I’m sure this is the same for everyone else too, but January makes me want to make a bunch of lists and get shtuff done. I get super motivated and productive and healthy in January, but then after a few weeks (maybe even a few days), it’s so easy to fall back in usual habits and disorganization. I mentioned this in my last post, but one of my biggest struggles from last year was trying to balance everything, so a big goal this year is to work hard but also play hard!!

Last year, I didn’t write a 101 list like I usually do, and it actually affected me more than I anticipated. I just thought, “Oh what the hey, I’ll just wing it this year~~ be more spontaneous.” Yearight. I guess I thought having such a long list of goals made life less spontaneous, but in the end, not having that list made me lazier and unmotivated…. so I’ve decided that I’m the type of person that needs a list. Even if I don’t get through even half of it, just seeing it on my blog side bar will be motivation enough to get off my butt and do something. And if you readers have suggestions or can help me complete my list in any way, let me know~ And you guys should try making a 101 list too! Here are my past lists for ideas: 2009, 2010, 2011 (they’re all fairly similar, hehe).

So here’s my list for this year. Wish me luck~~~ :)

  2. i like your list idea. i should make one too! i can’t do anything unless i have a list and i LOVE to check things off! ha.
anyways… just wanted to say HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! so grateful for your blog, especially when i’m really missing korea. i have to find a way to get out there this year! i can’t believe i wasn’t there at all in 2012 :( i’m excited about all “the vegan” that has happened since 2011 even and i’m sure it’s just going to get all that more veg-friendly and aware by the next time i visit! YAY!!!

  3. Saw your list from previous years, make me want to do the same like yours and my past. And i’m kind a loss last year, just because I gave up for all everything that I had dream on. I wish I could have holiday, but nah working hard. Thanks for giving this nice idea back. Happy happy new year! If you wanna do your #12, you could come to my country, my pleasure that I can help you here.

  4. I get motivated by reading this, I’m gonna make a list of my own too! Thanks Mipa, keep up the awesome work!

  5. I’ll be excited to see the posts on some of these, especially the travelling ones! Just wondering though, why all the sunscream? I’m pale and live in Australia so i put on sunscream a lot but only every day in the warmer seasons.

I think i should write a list like this too. I wrote down a list of NY resolutions but not a specific to do list like this.

  6. Darn, that’s a nice list. Some items are really cool (blanket fort & read comics – love it!). I never do lists, but maybe I should do one too…..

What’s with the ‘wear a dress’? Do you never wear dresses usually?

    • haha, i just haven’t worn a dress in a really long time! i own a few skirts, but you’ll rarely see me wearing a dress. or heels.

      • Oh, I don’t do heels myself. I do wear dresses (quite a bit), but with shoes it’s got to be comfy or I don’t buy them! I’m probably the only girl that doesn’t get heels at all, I worship my running shoes, sports sandals and Teva flip flops instead! :-D

  7. Hi Mipa!
I’ve been following your blog for quite some time ever since I knew I was going for summer school in 2012. It was an awesome experience and I can’t wait to go back to Seoul/Korea! Seeing all the places featured in your blog just made me wish I was transported back to Seoul again. Really inspired by the list you made and would probably get down to doing one for myself. :D

  8. I tried going to the dog cafe in Hongdae listed by eatyourkimchi, but it moved somewhere nearby Hapjeong. I would love to go with you!
